Centerline's Commercial Real Estate Group comprises two divisions: Agency Lending Products and CMBS and Commercial Products.
Centerline provides a broad spectrum of financing and investment products for multifamily, office, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties throughout the United States. We are a market leader in the agency lending arena with preferred lending status with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Centerline's access to a wide array of capital markets executions enables the Commercial Real Estate Group to offer financing at each level of a property's capitalization, including equity, mezzanine capital, B-notes, bridge and first mortgage loans. Working with our investor partners, which include pension funds, investment banks, Wall Street conduits and government sponsored enterprises, Centerline is able to tailor products to meet the financing needs of each of our clients.
In addition to our direct debt and equity origination platform, Centerline is an active buyer of real estate debt securities, including high-yield commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS), collateralized debt obligation (CDO) securities and high-yield real estate loans for the six investment funds the Company manages. Centerline also advises American Mortgage Acceptance Company (AMAC) (OTC:AMOA), a commercial mortgage REIT. In addition, Centerline is a collateral manager for three CRE CDOs and provides asset management services to a CRE portfolio held on an institutional third party's balance sheet. As of September 30, 2008, the six investment funds, including AMAC, three CRE CDOs and third party's balance sheet CRE loan portfolio, have a total of $4.4 billion of real estate equity assets under management.
Centerline is rated "CAM2" from Fitch (currently the second highest rating for a CDO Asset Manager).
Our strategy has always been to buy and hold. We are in the market for the long term.
